This Privacy Policy explains how Infinity Limits LLC
("MVPPrices," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the
MVPPrices mobile application and related services (the "Service"). MVPPrices helps you find and
compare grocery prices, and lets you contribute prices you see in stores to help the community.
By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
Email address and authentication details when you create an account (via Firebase Authentication). We may send a verification email.
Optional profile details you choose to provide (e.g., display name).
Scans, photos, and price contributions
Receipt and shelf-tag photos you capture to contribute prices. These images may contain personal information (e.g., a store, date, or items you purchased). We process them to read the item names and prices.
Extracted price data — item name, price, store, and unit — derived from your scans or entered by you.
Barcodes/QR codes you scan for product lookups.
Location information
With your permission, your device's approximate location at the time of a scan, used to attribute prices to the correct store/region and to help prevent fraudulent contributions. You can disable location access in your device settings.
Usage and device information
Rewards/points activity, in-app actions, and basic device/diagnostic information used to operate and improve the Service and keep it secure.
Business accounts (SaaS portal)
If you register a business, we collect business details and process payments through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
Provide price comparison, search, and product lookups.
Process your scans into price data and award rewards/points.
Maintain a crowdsourced pricing database that benefits all users.
Verify accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, and secure the Service.
Communicate with you (e.g., verification, service notices).
Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
Community price data (public): the prices and store from your contributions are shared with other users to keep prices accurate. This does not include your identity or your receipt photo.
Your photos stay private: receipt/shelf images are stored privately and are not shown to other users.
Service providers: we use Google Firebase and Google Cloud (authentication, database, storage, hosting, backend) and Stripe (business payments). They process data on our behalf under their terms.
Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
Account information is kept while your account is active.
Receipt/shelf photos are retained only for a limited period needed to process and verify a contribution (up to 90 days), after which they are automatically deleted. Extracted, anonymized price data may be retained to maintain the pricing database.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Access & correction: view and edit your profile in the app.
Deletion: you can delete your account, which removes your personal account data. Contact us if you need help.
Location: turn off location permission any time in device settings.
Depending on where you live (e.g., California/CCPA, EEA/UK GDPR), you may have additional rights such as access, deletion, and objection. Contact us to exercise them.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, and
least-privilege service accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work
to protect your information.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will
delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the
"Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated in the app.
